MHS qualifies groups for state speech contest

     The Monticello High School Speech Department participated in the district large group speech contest, which was held virtually and was judged Jan. 23. Monticello earned 13 Division I ratings, and each qualified for the state contest.

     Earning a “I” rating:

     Varsity Readers’ Theatre – Hannah Ahlrichs, Amelia Anderson, Kadence Barnhart, Ella Glawatz, Kaitlin Guyer, Angel Larsen, Megan Mahoney, Delaney Peitz, Mya Postel, Zach Reuter, Jackie Stadtmueller, Brooklyn Stark, Maci Welter and Natalia Williams.

     Group Mime – Kehde Campbell and Maddie Stadtmueller.

     Group Mime – Mia Jaeger and Bella Mullen.

     Group Improv – Mia Jaeger and Bella Mullen.

     Ensemble Acting – Grant Hospodarsky, Grahm Schneiter and Levi Temple.

     Ensemble Acting – Kehde Campbell and Maddie Stadtmueller.

     Ensemble Acting – Kaitlin Guyer, Lauren Koehler and Brooklyn Stark.

     Radio Broadcasting – Sully Flynn, Karle Kramer and Ian Temple.
