Model Car Contest winners announced

   The 40^th Annual Model Car Contest (featured at the KCRG-TV9-presented 56^th Annual O’Reilly Auto Parts Rod & Custom Car Show) took place, Feb. 22-23 at the Monticello Berndes Center.

   Contest winners received a trophy and model kit awards.

   Results are as follows:

Car Class

   First place: Roger Brighton, Monticello. Second place: Rich Backes, Muscatine, Iowa. Third place: Willie Moseley, Fairfax, Iowa. Fourth place: David Pentecost, Papillion, Neb. Fifth place: Richard Mishler, Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

Race Car Class

   First place: Richard Mishler, Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Second place: Rich Backes, Muscatine, Iowa. Third place: James Wilson, Hiawatha, Iowa. Fourth place: David Pentecost, Papillion, Neb. Fifth place: Willie Moseley, Fairfax, Iowa.

Truck Class

   First place: Willie Moseley, Fairfax, Iowa. Second place: James Wilson, Hiawatha, Iowa. Third place: Rich Backes, Muscatine, Iowa. Fourth place: Duncan Suthers, Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Fifth place: Richard Mishler, Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
