Model Car Contest winners announced

   The 39^th Annual Model Car Contest (featured at the KCRG-TV9-presented 55^th Annual O’Reilly Auto Parts Rod & Custom Car Show) took place, Feb. 24-25 at the Monticello Berndes Center.

   Contest winners received a trophy and model kit awards. Results are as follows:

Car Category

   First place, Jim Likens, Marion; second place, Jack McCullough, Dubuque; third place, Richard Mishler, Cedar Rapids; fourth place, David Hayes, Lisbon; fifth place, Jarod Zumbach, Anamosa; sixth place, Roger Brighton, Monticello.

Race Car Category

   First place, Roger Brighton, Monticello; second place, Jim McCullough, Dubuque; third place, Richard Mishler, Cedar Rapids.

Truck Category

   First place, Richard Mishler, Cedar Rapids; second place, Roger Wolfe, Cedar Rapids.

Semi-Truck Category

   First place, James Kremer, Monticello; second place, Jim Likens, Marion.

Motorcycle Category
