Projects, activities occupy Midland FFA officers

This year’s Midland FFA Chapter officers have led and participated in many activities, while thinking about the future and managing a variety of SAE projects.
Here is a capsule look at the Midland officer team.
Name: Jayson Ruley

Office held: President
Parents/Guardians: Dean and Cheri Ruley
Hometown: Oxford Junction
SAE project: A website of history and agricultural based essays known as JACK (Jayson's Articles Contributing to Knowledge).
FFA activities: Night meetings, Petting Zoo, Farm Safety, MMC Ag Explore Day, “We Care” Packages, Sub-District Volleyball. among others.
Most memorable FFA activity or accomplishment: Reserve champion in Ag Biotechnology in 2024; Feed a Farmer events.
Future plans: Attending Iowa State University majoring in Engineering.
Name: Morgan Hollingshead
Year in school: Senior
Office held: Vice President
Parents/Guardians: Nick Hollingshead and Sara Hollingshead
Hometown: Wyoming
SAE project: Placement at Hale Supper Club.
FFA activities: Creed Speaking, Floriculture, Ag Issues, Highway Clean-up, “We Care” packages, Meals for Farmers.
Most memorable FFA activity or accomplishment: Visiting National Convention and meeting other people.
Future plans: Attend Kirkwood Community College and become a paralegal.

SAE project: Milking Dairy Cows and working at the Monticello Vet Clinic.

Most memorable FFA activity or accomplishment: Going to National FFA Convention.
Future plans: Attend Kirkwood Community College for Animal Science and transfer to a university.
