Roger M. Boffeli Oct. 9, 1962 – Feb. 19, 2025

      Roger M. Boffeli, 62, of Runnels, Iowa passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 19, 2025 with family by his side at his home, after an extended illness. Per Roger’s wishes no services will be held at this time.

    Roger was born on Oct. 9, 1962 in Coggon, Iowa, the son of Eugene and Maxine (Lynch) Boffeli. He attended Monticello High School with the class of 1982. After high School Roger went to Lincoln Tech, studying auto mechanics. He later moved to Runnells where he was a journeyman at Laborers Local 177 until the present. For many years he played Santa Claus and while being laid off during the winter he had a snow removal business. Roger was liked by all and had a great sense of humor. People referred to him as a good man.

    Roger married Darla Jacobs on July 28,1984, they had two children, Ashley and Brandon. They later divorced and he married Jodi Higgins on Aug. 10, 1990. Together they had Molly.

    Roger is survived by his loving wife Jodi; Ashley and Brandon of Ankeny; one grandchild, Absedy; his siblings Francis (Nancy), Tony, Cheryl (Michael) Hogan, Kevin, Dawn (David) Wachsteter and Shawn (Andrea); aunts Rita Fischer and Lois Boffeli; uncle David Kruser; and many nieces and nephews. 

    Roger was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Keith in 1961 and Andy in 2017; his daughter, Molly, on June 8, 2018; and many aunts and uncles.
