Trio of Panthers named to all-conference teams

   Following a 14-9 season for the Monticello girls basketball team, a trio of Panthers earned spots on the River Valley Conference North Division teams. Kennedy Hermsen was selected to the first team, Mallory McElmeel earned second team honors and Halle Recker honorable mention. The full list of teams follows.

   Coach of the Year: Chad Specht, Maquoketa

   Player of the Year: Cora Widel, Maquoketa

   First Team (by school): Maquoketa – Widel, Aubrey Kroymann and Maelyn Kluever; Cascade – Addison Frake; Bellevue – Karlie McCombie, Kenzington Scheckel; Monticello – Hermsen; Anamosa – Sophie Sander.

   Second Team: Maquoketa – Justice Armbruster, Kendall Kuhlman; Cascade – Harper Sconsa, Leona Manternach; Bellevue – Payton Kettman; Monticello – McElmeel; Camanche – Calie Waltz; Beckman – Paige Fangmann.

   Third Team: Maquoketa – Hadley Ihrig; Bellevue – MaKinley Scheckel; Cascade – Brooklyn Trumm; Northeast – Ava Eskildsen; Beckman – Jenna Sperfslage; Monticello – Recker; Anamosa – Lauren Heying; Camanche – Eva Vogel.
